USB Interface port
Availabilty of USB interface port (front or rear) to connect USB applications like USB memory stick and USB Harddisks. From 2007, selected models can also control an iPod using KCA-iP200 or KCA-iP300V interface

iPod I/F Control (5L-Bus)
An iPod (portable HDD player from Apple Computer) can be connected to the changer control terminal of a KENWOOD H/U using an optional interface kit. This makes it possible to play music stored in the iPOD through the H/U and features easy file retrieval by Playlist/Genre/Artist/Album name, with all details displayed on the H/U.

Touch Panel
With Touch Panel Control, the same monitor doubles as your DVD viewing screen and control panel. No more searching for a separate remote control or looking for buttons or knobs on another component. A quick glance at the easy-to-understand graphical user interface and simple touch of the screen puts you in total control of all functions.

Bluetooth Control (5L-Bus)
The KENWOOD mobile phone hands-free unit, using the Bluetooth wireless technology can be connected to the system. This unit allows the user to communicate safely without removing their hands from the steering wheel during driving. Simply connect the unit to the BT H/F-compatible head unit, and a clear phone communication may be conducted by talking into the microphone and listening to the voice of the other party from the front speakers of the head unit. The head unit can display the name and status of the other party and the signal strength, the remaining battery power, etc. The unit can register up to 5 BT-compatible mobile phones and also download individual phone books for them. (Simultaneous use of more than one phone is not available.)

OEM Wired Remote Control
This indicates that the system allows the factory fitted steering wheel remote controller of the vehicle, to control the KENWOOD head unit for genuine audio.

Installer Memory
This function stores the optimum acoustic field set by an expert installer to suit the specific vehicle. If the user does not like the acoustic field as adjusted by him or herself, the user can recall the default setting made by the installer.

System E's+ (Built-in HPF & LPF)
The head unit incorporates High-Pass Filters that process the front and rear channel signals independently in 8 steps (Through/40/60/80/100/120/150/180/220 Hz) and a phase-switchable Low-Pass Filter that processes the subwoofer channel signal in 5 steps (50/60/80/100/120 Hz/Through). The system features a subwoofer that reproduces low frequencies exclusively through the subwoofer channel thus making it possible to reduce the problems associated with low frequencies such as resonation of doors and dulling of vocal frequencies.
